Welcome, I am Glad You’re Here!

Hi, I am Amy Scherer PCD (NAPS) certified postpartum doula, birth doula, sibling doula, nanny, and household assistant. Bringing a new baby into the world is one of life’s biggest transitions, and you don’t have to walk through it alone. As your doula, I provide calm, compassionate, and personalized support so you and your family feel nurtured, informed, and empowered every step of the way.
Whether you’re preparing for birth, navigating the early postpartum days, or simply wanting a reassuring presence by your side, my role is to listen, guide, and hold space for your unique journey. With evidence-based resources, hands-on care, and a heart for families, I’m here to help you move through this season with confidence and ease.
Your story matters, your choices matter, and your well-being matters. Let’s create a supportive foundation for you and your growing family together.
“Amy was so attentive and caring towards our baby – it was such a relief and a gift to have our baby in her care during the emotional transitions of the first year. I also appreciated her sense of humor and empathetic presence.” Robyn Jordan

Nanny and household management experience
I moved to the Seattle area in 2011 and began work as a behavioral therapy assistant, working with children on the spectrum. I realized my strength was in caregiving and wanted to shift my focus to being a full-time nanny. Since 2012 I have worked with multiple families for 2+ years and helped welcome new family members, assisted in household management, and provided overnight and travel support. Experience with multiples and references available.

I first learned about doulas when nannying for a family that was expecting their second child in 2014. I then became aware of how important doulas are when having my own children in 2018 and 2021. It was then that I decided that I wanted to dedicate my time to supporting parents and their transitional journey into parenthood. I did birth and postpartum doula training in 2023 at the Simkin Center at Bastyr University. I began volunteering for Perinatal Support Washington’s Warm Line in 2024. AND I have just become Medicaid certified.
